Days 11, 12, 13 And 14 – WA Success Stories

WA Success Stories - Bill Gates Quote

Saturday 26th July

Night after my daughters best friends 21st Bday party which we hosted.

Have felt better  😕

Serves me right.

Anyway not spent as much time on the website because of the party prep work.

Mostly been adding content to the review and training pages.

Have added one new page however dedicated to showcasing peoples success stories at Wealthy Affiliate.

Wealthy Affiliate Success Stories

WA Success Stories - Bill Gates Quote

I’ve really enjoyed adding these stories and again plan to keep adding them to the page.

Personally when I review any product I love to read REAL stories about how people are implementing the training.

The more detail the better.

I find it both inspiring and motivational.

WA Success Stories - great Bill Gates QuoteThe research for this page was just a joy.

It seems everyone who sets off on this journey has to beat some forms of setback.

Illness, limited time, overwhelm, uncertainty, no experience and so many more.

Yes; the training tells you what to do, but there is almost a ‘universal law’ that prevents success until you’ve defeated some form of personal demon.

The other thing I love is just how open and sharing so many of the members are.

I don’t think there is a single one who didn’t start this journey with serious doubts about THEIR ability.

This has really galvanized me in my quest to better journal all my own personal fears and hang-ups as my journey continues…

The page…

WA Success Stories

Please feel free to comment and question I really need your help to make this site better.

Thank You  😛

Objective
To continue to fill out the training page and review page.

Add a Wealthy Affiliate real member success stories page.

Outcome
Met objectives and really enjoyed researching the success stories.

Have a gut feeling I should do more of these.

Time Taken

Only about 6 hours over 4 days.

Real People Real Success Stories – How Others Have Changed Their Lives With Wealthy Affiliate

Success is only a matter of time

There are many and varied paths to success.

This is evident when you take a look at success stories from the Wealthy Affiliate Community.

This page is going to showcase some of these.

I hope they both inspire, and illustrate, how with a little personal dedication and the right advice anyone can change their life.

Disclaimer: All these people have worked hard and helped others, but everyone is different and results will vary.

As we look at each, we’ll look at their approach and how they chose to monetize their site(s).

We’ll use Wikipedia for some of the definitions…

Google Adsense is a program run by Google that allows publishers in the Google Network of content sites to serve automatic text, image, video, or interactive media advertisements, that are targeted to site content and audience. These advertisements are administered, sorted, and maintained by Google, and they can generate revenue on either a per-click or per-impression basis”. Read more…

Affiliate Marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts”. Read more…

Cost Per Action or CPA “sometimes known as Pay Per Action or PPA; also Cost Per Conversion is an online advertising pricing model, where the advertiser pays for each specified action – for example, an impression, click, form submit (e.g., contact request, newsletter sign up, registration etc.), double opt-in or sale”. In no particular order…

Eddy Salomon

First off we have Eddy Salomon who is a longtime member of WA and who demonstrates four ways of earning money from his Wealthy Affiliate training.

  1. http://ift.tt/1DHxzcZ
  2. http://ift.tt/2a8hIOe

Eddy’s first site helps and advises people about making money online.

He helps folks avoid the scams and promotes products and services that he feels provide value. The site is monetised through Google Adsense, CPA lead generation, and Affiliate Marketing promoting WA amongst others.

Sussess Stories Eddy Salomon with Wealthy Affiliate Founders Kyle and Carson

Eddy pictured with WA founders Kyle and Carson at the 2013 WA Las Vegas convention for top affiliates

The second site promotes the business Eddy set up after learning WA’s approach to website building and site promotion. A full service marketing agency providing marketing advice and search engine optimization services to local business’s in New York.

Extracts from Eddy’s story…

Well what can I say? I’m very blessed in that I’m one of the few people that is job free by choice. lol I’ve been in the make money industry since the early 90s. But was never able to make a full time living with it until about 2008…

Furthermore I’ve taken the SEO and WordPress website creation skills you’ll learn here on WA to start my own offline digital marketing agency: http://ift.tt/2a8hIOe  I’ve literally earned thousands of dollars to design websites for small businesses and promote them. So you can even use what you learn here at WA for businesses outside of affiliate marketing.

No get rich BS here. Rather hard work and the right advice… Read more about Eddy here…

Wendy Jane’s Success Story

Wendy Janes Online Success StoryWendy Jane (right in the picture) joined WA after graduating college and finding that the doors to secure employment didn’t just open (tough times for grads currently).

So a little research later and a few false starts Wendy found WA…

Now no looking back for Wendy.

However Wendy has only been doing this since Jan 2013 and achieved 1600% growth in profits her first year. This doesn’t completely do Wendy’s achievement justice as health problems slowed her down significantly.

Wendy has two main websites…

  1. A ‘Tall Girls Fashion Blog’ (Her first WA website build)
  2. http://ift.tt/2a8hOFC

Wendy’s tall girl fashion blog helps tall girls find the best clothes for their body type, and is monetised using Google Adsense and Affiliate links to niche retail outlets, though I didn’t see any the Amazon Associate Affiliate program could also work well with this site idea. Great Information and a natural helpful style.

Site 2 is Wendy’s story of turning the post college blues into success. This site promotes Wealthy Affiliate free membership.

Extracts from Wendy’s story…

I joined WA in late January, stepped outside my comfort zone and started my own online business. I have learned SO much (and of course still continue to learn each and every day!) from the training and community here. I cannot thank everyone enough, including Kyle and Carson. They must be superhero geniuses.

From the moment I made my first sale, I knew this was serious business and I never gave up. I may have taken the occasional hiatus, but the part that matters is I always came back to my business.

I did not give up.

What a fantastic achievement…

Looking for forward to 2014’s results!   Read Wendy’s full story here…

James Story

I like James story because it illustrates that for many people it’s not all about the money.

Yes, James is making money and growing his income but by his own admission he’s put more time into helping others than himself.

Time that could be spent building his business.

  1. http://ift.tt/2a8hTZI
  2. http://ift.tt/2a7le88

Site 1 is a really attractive family games review site which is monetised through Google Adsense, and Game retail affiliate links (including Amazon affiliate links).

Site 2 is not dissimilar to this site, as James blogs about his journey through the land of online entrepreneurship. This site is also monetised with WA membership program, other services that James uses (email auto-responder service), and also Google Adsense.

James WA Site Focused On Game Night Ideas

Extracts from James story…

When I found WA I had that immediate gut feeling that I had found what I was looking for. I was bouncing off the walls with excitement as I spent my first week going through the training on the free trial. By day 6 I was even more excited and knew in my heart that it was the right place for me, so I popped for the premium membership…

As I progressed through the training and engaged myself in the community, I found that I was building on my beliefs of being positive…

My focus on the money side became less and less. I put all of my efforts towards building solid foundations that I would be able to monetize more at a later point…

Also, the more that I learn here the more brighter my future becomes. Soon I will be officially starting my Web Design services for local businesses in my area. I have already been in talks with a few perspective clients…

Click here to find out how things are looking for James…

Ryan McCraken

Ryan McCraken Wealthy Affiliate profile imageRyan is a fantastic example of somebody who’s simply done the training (twice as he explains later!), and then taken massive action.

An ordinary guy who started his first Wealthy Affiliate website part-time.

He went through doubts, and concerns in the first months, and asked Kyle…

Kyle told him he was doing everything right just to continue producing content, content, content.

I’ll uncover how Ryan’s doing further down.

But for now let’s look at Kyle’s websites and monitization strategies.

  1. Niche tablet review site (In fairness to Ryan I’m not showing the url as people have been simply copying it exactly)
  2. http://ift.tt/2a7lEeG

Website 2 is currently a small site (not sure if Ryan is planning to add more content) dedicated to telling his Internet Marketing story and promoting WA and other products and services he uses. Though the site is small the content is in my opinion very natural and compelling.

Ryan like many other WA members shares a lot of what is working for him within the WA community.

His first site focuses on a specific section of the Tablet PC market.

A real niche within a niche.

Within the site Ryan reviews products and helps visitors by answering their questions.

The site is monitized through Amazon Associate links.

Is this not an inspiring and simple idea that you could copy (the idea not Ryan’s site)?

Let’s hear from Ryan…

I had zero knowledge of the internet when I started at WA. I didn’t know what a search engine, serp, keyword, SEO, SMO, or any other term associated with IM meant. These tutorials inside WA will give you all the knowledge you need to start a career online.

When I started I had a lot of doubts and after month one, two, and three I had barely made a few cents and a lot of friends thought I was wasting my time and living in a dream world…

At the end of October I really thought there was no way I could quadruple the traffic growth 5 months in a row but guess what I was wrong.

Nathaneill profile imageNathaniell

A  member for just over 4 years Nathaniell is another inspiring story.

Like most of us Nate came to WA looking for honest advice that would set him on the right path to success. He found it and could give up his job after just two years. Nathaniell say’s it better though…

The most interesting bit of information that you should get from this post today is that both The Online Entrepreneur Certification and Bootcamp are equally good.

From 2010 to 2013 I did the regular courses at WA and was not an affiliate of WA. I was able to build a full time income from this course alone. In 2013 I joined Bootcamp and started promoting WA to the great folks out there looking for a legitimate way to earn income online.

The earning potential of being a WA affiliate was equally good, so choose the course that fits you best, because you can succeed with either one.

I think because so many of the successful WA members promote WA as affiliates (why wouldn’t they?) sometimes the rest of us think that’s the best way to make money.

It’s encouraging to see that Nate made his job quitting money through simply following the Online Entrepreneur training and building niche affiliate sites.

It’s also motivating to see how fast Nate has built his WA promoting site http://ift.tt/2a7lhAY.

His business model is also very simple to follow. Simple but not easy look below to see how hard Nate works…

Nathaneills Author Bio

677 Posts!

Really Compelling Sidebar ImagesWhat Nate has created is a very lovely blog that tells his story with a few core pages of content that are very prominently promoted using lovely text images (see right for example).

These pages all contain really helpful information without the need to ‘push’ WA.

The 667 (wow that’s a lot of work) posts are all really helpful fair reviews of products and services that his target audience are interested in.

This is what is bringing Nate over 1000 visitors per day.

The review strategy is a proven and reliable method for making money online and Nate’s site is the perfect example.

This is exactly the method that Kyle teaches in the WA Bootcamp training.

Personally I’ve copied Nate’s compelling sidebar links, and am trying to trim my core content down to be more helpful for visitors.

Initial results also look very good so… big thanks from me Nathaniell.

Could you do this?

Why not.

By the end of the training you’ll have a nice website, then 2 review posts per day for financial freedom!

Nathaniell’s other site…

Nathaniell's Beer Brewing site Brew7

Another very visually appealing site (yes I like beer too).

This site came before Nate’s WA promoting site, and demonstrates the proven strategy of website + helpful interesting content = happy visitors and PROFIT…

Days 9 & 10

Wealthy Affiliate Challenge Day 10

Tuesday 22nd July 2014 – Cannot believe it’s been 10 days already.

Wealthy Affiliate Challenge Day 10

Really Liked This ‘Work From Home’ Image

Yesterday (day 9) and today I’ve finished off and posted my first draft of the Wealthy Affiliate Review Page.

I’ve spent about 7 hours on this one page!

Far more work than I originally thought.

The on page navigation took me way longer than it should have.

I’ve gained a few more content ideas from doing this page though.

Like some of the other pages I plan to add to it and refine it over time.

When the site is getting a lot more visitors I may also build another version of this page and split test them.

That way I can hopefully continuously improve click through conversions.

One of the content idea’s that I want to expand upon is that of analysing some other WA members success strategies.

Many of the people who have succeeded most from WA, have identified techniques and ideas that suit themselves and enable them to play to their individual strengths.

So rather than learning everything.

They specialise.

Select one method of monitisation and traffic generation and then work super hard to master it.

For example maybe they decide to monitise through  the  affiliate Amazon scheme, perfect a product comparison content style, and drive traffic through blogging and Facebook social media.

NOTE: Apparently 40% of Amazons total sales came from Affiliates or ‘Amazon Associates’ as they’re officially known.

Click here to read Wikipedia’s Amazon third Part Sellers chapter

Read my WA Review here.

In terms of meeting my 10 Day goals I’m pleased to report I’v comfortably beaten them.

Though in truth I didn’t set the bar to high 🙂

  1. Have built website.  Check
  2. Have identified first 30 posts.  Check
  3. Have created at least 5 posts.  Check

Objective
Publish WA Review Page

Add ‘Social Media Share’ Plugin (Opted for Slick Social Share)

Add ‘TinyMCE Advanced’ plugin to give me more control of stuff like font size and background colour when editing.

Outcome
Completed all goals.

Time Taken
Writing the Review Page took about 7 hours!

Adding the plugins about 1 hour (tested a few out before settling on the ones above)

Day 8 Wealthy Affiliate Challenge

using-laptops-in-the-sun

Sunday 20th July 2014 – ‘Borrowed’  Susanne’s (my very patient wife of 20 plus years) new laptop .

using-laptops-in-the-sunBig shout out for the Fujitsu Lifebook A Series.

Recommended by a friend who repairs computers for it’s German made components and reliability.

Awesome so far, and great value at £350 ish.

Not a beauty but…

You can see the screen outside in bright sunshine!

So…

Shorts on, cool drink to hand, favorite garden recliner, and off we go…

Managed to start my WA review page.

Personally I like to plot out all the headings and create a template and save as draft. Following Kyle’s Review writing training which you can access here (Lesson 6 Online Entrepreneur Certification – Making Money! Level 3)

I then populate the headings with content as I get it done (not going to hurry this as it’s probably the most important page on the site).

Added in page navigation as I expect this page to be long and also to be updated as things change.

I’ve also added a header graphic to the site and modified header images for the review page and training page.

Wealthy Affiliate Review 2014 header image

Original Wealthy Affiliate Banner

wealthy affiliate review 2014 Text 950x88

My Modified Review Page Header

Using one of the WA affiliate banner images to create my site headers by editing using the fantastic free GIMP the Photoshop alternative.

I was able to replace the banners original text with my wording and am pretty pleased with the outcome.

GIMP is FREE opensource software and is available here http://ift.tt/KwFsoc

The other cool thing with GIMP is that there are lots of helpful YouTube tutorials to help people like me.

I was thinking of adding a step-by-step tutorial on how to use Gimp to do this. Please let me know in the comments if you think this is a good idea and I’ll put something together.

Also on the subject of creating and manipulating images for my site I also use a free program called Photoscrape which you can get here http://ift.tt/1Pey9DJ

I do all the simple stuff in terms of cropping, re-sizing, and adding text to images in Photoscrape which I find more intuitive and less intimidating than GIMP.

GIMP is fantastic but with the power comes a steeper learning curve.

If you’ve got a favourite image editing software please mention it in the comments below (thanks).

I’ also added Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools to track the sites performance over time.

Objectives
To start and progress my Review Page as far as possible.

Add Google Analytics and Webmaster tools.

Create site header(s)

Outcome
Completed objectives.

Time Taken
Modifying the header graphics took about 2 hours. If I did the same project again I reckon I’d get it down under the hour.

So far the review page has taken about 1.5 hours.

Adding Google Analytics and Webmaster tools 15 minutes.

Please feel free to ask questions in the comments below.

Thanks for visiting.

Days 5 6 & 7 Saturday 19th July 2014

2014 UK Electrical Storms

Writing this on a muggy Saturday morning in the UK.

2014 UK Electrical StormsAlso had the most amazing electrical storms the previous night, not seen anything like that since I was kid in South Africa.

Anyway Thursday (Day 5) I  had other work to do so couldn’t spend much time on this. Just basically tinkered theme and modified my ugly mug in the sidebar widget.

Friday (Day 6) pretty much cleared the afternoon to go through Kyle’s tutorials and add more content.

Going  through the training a second time was really helpful.

One example – Kyle was explaining how covering your site and its posts and pages with outbound affiliate links was a really bad idea as Google hates pushy affiliate sites.

Though I don’t think my content is pushy I felt I could easy fall foul of this by linking my journal notes to the training I was doing / done. As I would have outbound links on just about every journal post.

The solution…

I’ve created a Training page where I will list all the training.

So anyone who’s interested in understanding more about the specific training can visit my internal training page where they be met with a directory of all the training.

Yes, this page will be full of outbound links, but it will allow me to group all my training links in one place on the site, and I hope prove a much more helpful set up for visitors as well.

A similar example Kyle used was to funnel all his visitors who click to find out more about WA to his internal Review page rather than straight to the main Wealthy Affiliate sign up page.

By sending people to a review page first Kyle’s conversions also went up considerably 🙂

Initially I planed to add a Wealthy Affiliate review page, but changed my mind as I went through Kyle’s training. I think the training page is more helpful at this point in the sites development.

I also realise my content would benefit from some images to break up all the text.

I plan to batch my work for creating / finding images as well as video production.

So I’ll add these later.

I’ve got family stuff to do today so will continue to fill out the training page if I get the time.

Objective

Was to continue to tidy the site and write my Wealthy Affiliate review but I postponed that for creating the training page.

Outcome

Tidied the about me in the sidebar.

Created and published the training page.

I also set up my YouTube Channel and corresponding Google Plus page.

I need to add profile details and images to both of these, and start creating some video’s probably late next week.

Time Taken

Spent about 1/2 hour Thursday.

Spent about 4 hours on Friday going through training and starting the Training page.

Day 2, 3, and 4

Planning

I don’t want to bore anyone so I’ll summarise what has so far been mostly planning.

My little book has got even more diagrams with boxes and arrows.

Planning

It also has more content ideas.

And I’ve built this website we’re on, and changed it’s theme (Sem-Reloaded free and available from the bottom of the page here …http://ift.tt/20Zbr8H).

Note on the theme. I use the Sem-Reloaded WordPress theme because it has more widget areas than I’ve ever seen (not just in the sidebar).

This makes it very flexible especially if you combine it with the free WP Widget Context plugin which enables you to control on when widgets are shown to visitors.

For example if you have a category on your site about cats you can have a cat specific set of sidebar, header, footer widgets shown to people who visit your cat content (pages and or posts).

When they move away from that content they see your sites general site info.

I’m not sure that I’m ever going to need that level of flexibility on this site though.

The website took under a minute to build…. really (about 15 including the theme change and sidebar widget)

Kyle from Wealthy Affiliate shows how easy it is to build a website with the express builder

Watch Kyle ‘s website set up video

Right back to the subject at hand.

Because I have chosen to make this site about Wealthy Affiliate and the promotion of WA I’ve no need to go through the picking a niche training.

However this is very good training and can be accessed here for anyone interested in developing site / business ideas.

One of my personal objectives was to speed my production up.

So the recording of training done and how I’m implementing it does give me plenty of content ammunition.

I’m also thinking that I’m going to create WordPress pages for important content that I intend to update, and WordPress posts like this for the journal information and other content that I may create.

For example I plan on setting up a network of free web 2.0 sites and a Youtube channel for the purpose of syndicating my content to both attract people back here and also provide back links to help the sites Google rank.

Therefore I see the subject of ‘content syndication’ as being a ‘page’ topic, as it will change over time.

Content Plan

Continue doing daily (maybe – journal entries) discussing the training utilized and my outcomes.

A second thread of content ‘pages’ describing in more detail my content syndication ideas.

Without over thinking it at this stage I don’t see the syndication kicking in until I’ve got at least 20 posts or pages.

As the site evolves I should also add reviews of Wealthy Affiliate and any other tools or services I might use.

I see Youtube as playing a big part in both traffic generation and link building.

I plan on creating videos on answering questions about Wealthy Affiliate and posting them on a specialist Youtube channel that I’ll create.

Objectives
Get the site built and my mind clear on site structure and navigation.

Outcomes
Site built OK, with first content added.

Time Taken
Approx 3.5 hours

Day 1 Saturday 12th July 2014

Start

Start

Writing this on the Thursday 17th as I’ve only just set up the website.

I woke Saturday morning 12th July with the idea to do this challenge.

I had a number of idea’s buzzing around in my head.

  1. Foremost was that I wanted a new website project.
  2. I also wanted to push myself a little out of my comfort zone.
  3. And I thought that by recording my results I could achieve both, AND that it may prove helpful to others and myself when wanting to repeat / complete a similar task.

Saturday was a beautiful warm summers day here in Crowthorne Berkshire (UK). So I just grabbed myself a new A5 notepad (love noting stuff down- weird).

Settled in a comfy chair with glass of lemon water (new detox – diet thing – even weirder), and just penned all my ideas.

The Wealthy Affiliate Training lays out all the getting started instructions in step by step terms.

I had read all the training before.  I’m one of those who has to know where they’re going before doing things.

What I like to call ‘consideration’ could really be procrastination?

So I wanted this journal to help drive me through any areas where I might like to ‘consider’ for too long.

I really do believe it’s better to take action and correct coarse on route, but by writing publicly (doesn’t even matter if no one reads it) what and when I do stuff and the outcomes I hope to be way more productive.

My background is corp recruitment and I’ve done a lot of the assessment tests that are becoming the norm in the corporate world.

These have told me that I’m a bit of a cave dweller (weird theme continues) in terms of my communication style.

I like to take time, listen, analyse and then communicate in recorded form (letter, email, prepared talk – safe from within my cave) rather than just get on with it.

I wanted this challenge to move me a little faster, and also learn to use video in my marketing more (not sure I’ll be in front of the camera, but one step at a time).

Also a big fan and affiliate (paid to refer people) of Wealthy Affiliate, and I wanted to work my way through the training whilst building the site.

So in terms of the WA training, I’ll be undertaking both of the getting started ‘Online Entrepreneur Certification’ and because I’ve already decided my niche (make extra money online) by promoting WA the ‘Affiliate Bootcamp’.

The image below shows the ‘Getting Started’ training itinerary…

Wealthy Affiliate Online Entrepreneurship Certification drop down menu screengrab

The image below shows the WA Affiliate Bootcamp Training Itinerary…

Affiliate training itinerary

Saturdays Objective
To plan out more my initial site idea. Which is to simply record my progress as I complete the training and develop my site.

Outcome
I filled about 5 pages with notes and boxes with arrows pointing places (I also seem to have to draw out everything).

These drawings represented site structure and content category idea’s.

I also completed my WA goals.

Time Taken
Approx 2 hours

Next Day(s)…

Please fee free to ask questions below… thank you.

How One Short Review Post Has Earned Steve OVER $9,000 Bucks…

9k Amazon Review Post

Simple Amazon Review Post
Earns Steve Over $9k....

A perfect example of a story based pre-sell.

We could all learn from this...

This post is a little off the beaten track, but this is I’ve Tried That and I am trying something new. But first, I have a confession.

I hate winter.

I don’t do winter. The cold. The snow. The constant gray skies. Gah, I want no parts of it. So much so, that I spent an entire day last month planning to move to Australia for the next few months. I looked into plane tickets, dual citizenship and even picked out some nice looking real estate near a beach.

Pipe dreams of course, but man do I hate winter. It doesn’t help that I live in Pittsburgh either. It snows often and the overcast is relentless. I wish I could hibernate to be quite honest.

The mornings are the worst. My bed is fitted with a heated mattress cover and an incredibly heavy down comforter. It’s my own little cocoon that I try to spend as much time in as possible. As you can imagine, getting out of bed each morning is quite the struggle and I wanted a solution.

A few weeks ago I was reading an article on light therapy and how you can use certain lights to simulate sunlight and improve your mood. These lights are widely used to help treat Seasonal Affective Disorder and help regulate sleeping patterns. The article had briefly mentioned “wake up lights” and how they can be effective in helping people wake up in the morning.

Basically, there are alarm clocks which feature bright lights to help ease the wake-up process. The alarm clocks gradually get brighter as they near your set alarm time effectively simulating a sunrise. Your alarm goes off and you wake up to a fully lit bedroom and an energized body.

This piqued my interest since I refuse to do winter and I set out to try one of these wake-up lights. If there’s a light out there that could help me deal with winter mornings, I am going to use it.

Enter the Philips HF3470 Wake-up Light

I started shopping around, comparing different models, and reading customer reviews. The model I ultimately settled on is a Philips HF3470 Wake-up Light.

$9k selling this through Amazon...

It is an alarm clock. You set a time for an alarm to go off; however, about 30 minutes before the alarm sounds, the light kicks on and gradually gets brighter. It reaches its full brightness just as your alarm sounds. You have three options to wake up to: music, chirping birds, or a more traditional, albeit less annoying, alarm tone. Your body is subconsciously adjusting to “rising sun” providing you with a much better wake up experience.

I chose this model largely due to the reviews and the price. One feature that really stood out was the user replaceable light bulb. A lot of other models required you to send the alarm clock in to replace the bulb if it ever burnt out. That sounded completely unacceptable. It’s changing a light bulb for crying out loud. I shouldn’t have to send the alarm clock away to change a bulb. The fact that I could service this model myself sealed the deal for me.

I placed my order and said goodbye to my old alarm clock. That night, I went to bed skeptical, but woke up energized. It was quite amazing. I didn’t have to struggle to get out of bed or bargain with the clock for more time. The birds chirped, I woke up to a completely lit room, and I sat up ready to go.

It’s just such a better and more pleasant way to wake up each morning. My typical morning used to consist of a god awful high-pitched beeping to scare the hell out of me in hopes of waking up. This usually followed by at least 45 minutes of pressing the snooze button and hearing the siren go off every five minutes. After I finally convinced myself to get out of bed, I’d plod my way over to the coffee pot and contemplate going back to sleep for a few more hours. It was a struggle each and every morning.

Now my wake up process is awesome. I wake up to a fully light room and birds chirping. My eyes pop right open and I’m able to get out of bed without having to feign sleep for nearly an hour. I still make my way to the coffee pot, but with a spring in my step and a song in my heart.

Okay, that’s a bit much.

But in all honesty, I feel much more awake when I use the wake-up light and have a much more positive mood throughout the day. You know that super heavy eyelid feeling you get each morning? Well, I haven’t felt that at all since using the wake-up light.

Winter mornings have finally become bearable.

The biggest downside is the price. I spent $90 on my Philips Wake up Light. That’s a tad expensive for an alarm clock. However, this is going to be something that I use on a daily basis for years to come. It helps me wake up better each morning, helps me focus on work easier, and has generally improved my mood. For me, it is well worth the price. I would gladly buy it again and am completely satisfied with my purchase.

If you’re like me and struggle with the mornings, I highly recommend trying out the Philips HF3470 Wake-Up Light. You can check it out at Amazon.com by clicking here. It comes with a 45-day money-back guarantee. If you try it and don’t see any results, return it! I started seeing results after my first night with it. This baby isn’t going anywhere. It might not be Australia for the winter, but it sure does help.
